Hungry. Heartfelt. Hospitable
At Community Bible church we’re Hungry for God’s word. The person who attends CBC regularly opens their Bible. It’s a person who knows that God has revealed himself through the pages of Scripture. We look to the Bible for answers on how to live life and when we encounter something different from our current actions, we seek to conform ourselves to God’s teachings. When we disagree with each other it is the Bible that has the final say.
We also have a Heartfelt desire for the Gospel. The CBC member is someone who knows that it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is the hope for the world. We have a desire to share with others even if we don’t feel it’s our calling or gifting. When out in the world our lives reflects the grace that we have received in Jesus Christ, and we seek to share that grace with others. We understand the need to support missionaries both at home and abroad through prayer, giving, and encouragement.
Finally, we desire to be Hospitable to all. When a new person comes into CBC they should feel like they’ve come home. Our community reflects the attitude of Jesus, that all are welcome. As a community, when one person hurts, we all hurt, and when one rejoices we celebrate with them. If we have the ability to help another we don’t hesitate to give what we can, whether our time, our talents, or the treasures that God has entrusted us with. At Community Bible Church we’re a family.
